Naran-ja | Azza-Har Theatre

The story of an orange, maybe the last orange. A performance about a myriad of found objects and bodies on stage. Some animated, some not - but all alive nonetheless.

It is an absurd journey through a space somewhere between death and rebirth, extinction and survival, human and non-human. It is a search for comfort, perhaps even hope, in the strangeness of things that we can’t quite fully comprehend.

house of baby was invited by the theatre group to work alongside costume designer Ludovica Tagariello in bringing the character of the bear to life through the medium of rug, inspired by our work in 'Explorers of Comfort.'

Naran Ja is built almost entirely out of found objects and repurposed materials collected during a residency at Wolves Lane Community Centre, Wood Green.

    This performance was a work-in-progress.
