The London studio house of baby re-enchants interior design with delicately nostalgic creations.
A studio at the forefront of art and design
Joseph and Tomio see their brand almost as a museum project, conceiving each collection as a coherent body of work. Who Stole the Sand and Sea, their latest series of rugs, tells the story of two boys travelling through lands of sand and water. Yet the universe of house of baby extends far beyond this. The studio has collaborated with artist Sébastien Chaumeton, presenting Mr & Mrs Soft at Whitestone Gallery in Seoul, and has worked with prestigious brands on joint projects exhibited at Dover Street Market in London. But Joseph and Tomio’s dream project is to open an immersive concept store, where their creations would interact with sound, scent, and gastronomy—embodying even more fully their vision of a holistic design at the crossroads of worlds. With objects that go beyond pure functionality, house of baby offers a poetic form of spatial design.
